Dunedin Street, Edinburgh

Danehurst have received planning consent for a purpose-built student accommodation development at Dunedin Street, Edinburgh.

The proposed development consists of external and internal shared amenity spaces on ground floor including a west facing courtyard and south facing courtyard integrated with high-quality landscaping.  The south facing external amenity space creates a welcoming courtyard from the Dunedin Street access.  Internal amenity spaces on ground floor include a large reception, games room, lounge, communal kitchen, study rooms, library and gym.  The studio units are located on the upper floors.

The proposed development consists of 100% cycle storage spaces.  Car parking provision for 2 disabled car parking spaces with EV charging points and 1 pickup and drop off point.  Other services like bin storage, substation and plant are incorporated in the layout.

Firehouse, Vincent Walk and 10-12 Pound Tree Road, Southampton

Danehurst have submitted a planning application for a purpose-built student accommodation development in Southampton.

The proposed development comprises the demolition of Firehouse, Vincent Walk and 10-12 Pound Tree Road, to allow for a new 8-13 storey building providing student accommodation in studios for 139 students.

The development will offer the students generous and carefully considered shared communal spaces, including social lounge, study rooms, fully equipped gym, sky lounge, laundry and cycle parking. Access to the building will be off Pound Tree Road.

The accommodation is east/ west facing offering truly remarkable and uninterrupted views towards  the Solent and the Isle of Wight.

The building sits right in the town centre, offering easy access to all the amenities the town centre has to offer and with 8 bus stops right outside, it offers easy access to all higher education facilities in Southampton.
